Supporting the Supporters

A calm, supportive space for parents who spend so much time caring for others, they rarely have room to look after themselves.

We’re partnering with All Ears, the local charity supporting young people with their mental health, to offer parents a space to breathe, feel understood and learn simple tools that make daily life feel easier, especially if your child is already receiving support or going through a tough time.

Why this session exists

Supporting a child who’s struggling can take a huge emotional toll.
You hold the worry.
You juggle appointments.
You manage behaviours and big feelings.
You carry the pressure to stay calm, strong and “on”, even when you’re exhausted.

You deserve support too.
You deserve somewhere to land, talk openly, feel less alone and learn ways to steady yourself so you can keep going without burning out.

That’s what this session is designed for.

What the session looks like

A relaxed, parent-focused wellbeing session where you can:

• Take a breath and step out of the intensity of daily life
• Talk through what you’re carrying (only if you want to)
• Learn simple tools for stress, overwhelm and emotional regulation
• Understand how to support your child without sacrificing your own wellbeing
• Feel connected to other parents who understand the pressure you’re under

It’s gentle, friendly and shaped around what the group needs on the day.
There’s no pressure to share and no expectation to “get it right.”

Who this session is for

Parents and caregivers of children or young people who:

• Are already receiving mental health or therapeutic support
• Struggle with behaviour, emotions or anxiety
• Have ongoing needs that take up time, energy and headspace
• Leave you feeling drained, guilty or unsure how to help
• Need YOU to be steady — but you feel anything but

If you’ve ever found yourself thinking:

“I’m running on empty.”
“I don’t know what else to try.”
“I feel like I’m carrying this on my own.”

…then this session is for you.

You’ll be met with warmth, understanding and zero judgement.

What you’ll take away

You’ll leave with small, doable tools that help you:

• Feel calmer when things get intense
• Understand your own stress responses
• Support your child without losing yourself
• Create more emotional bandwidth in your day
• Feel less alone with what you’re carrying

Nothing complicated. Nothing overwhelming. Just things that actually help.
